Alaska, enjoying the chilly floor at Midtown Yacht Club.

The weather in Bend isn’t always sunshine and rainbows. Sometimes, you need shelter from the cold, rain, smoke or wind – and want to bring your dog with you. Luckily, there’s a few options for you and your dog inside. Here is a list of local Bend haunts you can be with your Bend dog indoors. While you’re there – you might even enjoy a beverage or two.

Spider City Brewing

Nestled on the Southeast side of Bend, Spider City Brewing is the only woman-owned brewery in Bend. Lucky for us, it’s also one of the coziest spots to hang out with your Bend dog indoors. It was also the venue that hosted the First Annual Bend Holidawg Market! Started as a college pipe-dream of three best friends, Spider City Brewing has been brewing quality beer for 16 years. While you’re there, stop at Americana Food Truck and grab a pup patty for your best friend.

Midtown Yacht Club

Midtown Yacht Club puts dogs first. Their “DOGS ALLOWED, PEOPLE TOLERATED” flag flying above their entrance door says it all. Bring your Bend dog. This pub has an incredible selection of delicious beer and a few food trucks to satiate your appetite – whatever you’re in to. They have fire-pits and tables outside, but they also have an indoor area where they sell beer and wine to drink there or to-go. You won’t regret chillin’ out here with your best friend no matter what the weather is.

River’s Place

A place dedicated to a dog? Count us in. River’s Place is named after River, the owner’s beloved dog. You might even see the famous River wandering around here with his humans. This little gem is a great spot for you and your Bend dog if you want to be indoors, warm and comfortable with your dog by your side.

Bridge 99 Brewery

Bridge 99 is the current home to The Rawley Project’s Paws & Pints event. It’s a small batch brewery nestled in the Northeast corner of town. Bridge 99 is all about supporting local rescues and their employees there will greet you with a smile. If it’s crowded inside – their fire pits are constantly roaring at night – so you and your dog will find a warm place to hang out.

Avid Cider Company

If beer isn’t your thing, chill out inside with your dog at Avid Cider Company. Situated at The Box Factory, Avid Cider Company’s motto is “Northwest to the core” and we love that for our dogs. Avid Cider Co. is a local, family-run business. They focus on sustainable ingredients for their refreshing hard ciders. Come inside with your dog and see what the buzz is about.
