The new Bend Puppy Plunge benefitting Special Olympics Oregon will be at Riverbend Park on February 11, 2023! Central Oregon has a longstanding tradition of plunging in the Deschutes to raise money for Special Olympics Oregon Athletes. This year, we’ve added the Puppy Plunge so our dogs can plunge too!
The event is free to attend to watch and support the dogs and humans plunging. If you and/or your dog would like to plunge, there’s a $50 tax-deductible donation which helps provide 5,000+ Special Olympics Oregon Athletes year-long access to sports, activities, and community.
9:00am: Registration Opens for the 5k Fun Run
9:30am: Registration Opens for the Plunge
11:00am: Human Polar Plunge Starts
12:00pm: Puppy Plunge Starts (either in the river or a puppy pool)
12:30pm: Event Ends
