When I started looking for dog treats from local Bend dog stores, I thought I would find a bunch of hippie fur moms slinging vegan treats in cute packaging. Then I realized I was just describing myself, and I wanted more than what I could make.
I embarked on a search for local Bend dog store goodies and I found some amazing resources for food, clothing, training tools, and so much more.
Whether you like your dog to chew on high quality meats or you prefer gluten free veggie-filled goodness, there is a store right down the road ready to serve you and your pup day or night. Many of them offer online shopping and speedy delivery, for those “Oh no, we’re out again” moments (insert meds, food, litter, doggy bags, etc).

The Best Doggie Bakery
While strolling the Saturday Market, keep an eye out for The Best Doggie Bakery. Offering small batch, healthy, preservative free snacks for your babe, and fur resistant clothing options, it’s a great stop for the family. With their bakery in Redmond, they deliver to Bend and Sisters!
They bake all sorts of fun treats and goodies, and for super special occasions (like a random Tuesday that you love you dog a little extra, or their birthday) – they make specialty cakes to order!
Born out of love for their own sweet fur babes, they knew having high quality treats was essential.
They dehydrate meats to make mouth watering dog jerky and mold healthy ingredients into cute little bones is only part of what they do though.
As competitors, they understand the need for high quality, fur resistant clothes that offer enough pockets to balance the need to carry treats, doggy bags, and your personal items. Water and scratch resistant, it’s a fun excuse to add color and function to your wardrobe while treating your pup.
Natural Hound
For our large dogs with large appetites, Natural Hound is a great place to start. Beginning as Wild Chewz, they put a lambs ears to the ground and listened to their customers demand for more.
Starting with offering antlers, now they offer treats made from all different parts of animals, so nothing is going to waste. They sell dehydrated chicken feet to beef tracheas for your big or small dog.
They offer unique treats like lamb lung and pig chin. These unique offerings are slow cooked to perfection, and I swear I can hear my dog drooling from here.
Natural Hound’s owners are inspired by their home in beautiful Bend. They strive to offer goods that are single ingredient and as natural as the beauty that surrounds them.
Bendy Dog
As the logo suggests, Bendy Dog, a self-proclaimed Dog Boutique that opened in 2015, screams everything Bend.
It has an artsy vibe that mimics crowded stores in Seaside. The bright colors, extensive product selection, and variety lends itself to invite everyone in town to stop by.
In honor of their own sweet pup, Maggie, they want you to know that they love your dog as their own. Bendy Dog products are dog-approved and owner tested.
They have an interactive map on their website that offers a peak into local parks for your pup to have play dates, and as every modern site would, you can easily shop online for their offerings.
With a mood that invites moms and college stoners alike, take time to browse the Bend dog inspired art, stickers, novelty gifts, and more.
Bend Pet Express
Bend Pet Express offers locations on both the East and West side. They also deliver, not only to Bend, but to 500 miles around Central Oregon.
Day of or Next Day delivery helps with those last minute emergencies, and having simple grooming options (just baths and nails) helps in a different type of emergency that we often know so well. You can self groom if you are more comfortable with that, or let them take over knowing your pup is in good paws.
Their website hosts a well-researched blog. It answers so many questions about raw food, debunks feeding myths, and helps you navigate what you can offer your pup.
They are so confident, that they will take any food as a return and stick to true Bendite form by donating any returns.
After all, if we are going to be foodies and craft brewers, shouldn’t our best friends get some of the best options too?
In these hard times when some of us are still working from home, it’s nice to know we don’t have to sacrifice local options for delivery. Our community needs to support each other every way we can, and feeding our fur babes seems like a great place to start.
